Join CycleWR for their October community ride, departing at 10:00am from Waterloo Park at Laurel Trail Bridge (at the red info pavilion). Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome to join. You’ll ride as a group from Uptown to St. Jacobs Farmers Market. At the St. Jacobs market, riders will have the choice to rest and shop or join an additional leg of the route to St. Jacobs via the Health Valley Trail, rejoining together at the market to complete the ride back to Waterloo. Total distance of 23km (market only ride is ~15km).

Join Ona's Bakery at KPL’s 85 Green: Flavours of Afghanistan as they take you through the journey of their business. Learn about all of the different types of dishes that are native to Afghanistan with a focus on Pouchak, a pastry that is the staple dish of Ona's Bakery. The program will end with a tasting of the delicious Pouchaks they are known for. 6:30 pm.

Game on with Hockey Helps the Homeless.
Hockey Helps the Homeless is a national charity that holds annual tournaments in 19 cities across the country each year. Regular hockey players get to play alongside NHL Alumni and female Olympians/pros for the day. All funds raised at the HHTH Waterloo Region annual tournament support six shelters in the region; The House of Friendship, YW Kitchener-Waterloo, oneROOF Youth Services, Starling Community Services, Cambridge Shelter Corp, and The Working Centre.
If you don't play hockey or skate, you can still participate on their 17th Team of non-skating fundraisers and watch the games on October 25th, as well as receive the HHTH player swag. To sign up on for the 17th team or to see how you can donate, visit their site.
