Ways to support local.
Happy Monday! Changing things up for this edition of the newsletter with a little request for support for an organization that continues to make a major difference for families in Waterloo Region and Guelph — KidsAbility. I'm proud to be on their foundation board, but I’ve also seen the impact of the help KidsAbility provides for families in our community.
Two of my children spent time with speech therapists at KidsAbility and today, well, they won’t stop talking. We were lucky, but other children need much more help. It's easy to take being able to communicate what we need for granted. That ability is the foundation for everything in our lives — from learning at school to making friends. But for many children, being able to communicate can be difficult or seemingly impossible.
KidsAbility provides life-changing speech, occupational and other therapies for children in Waterloo Region and Guelph and today, I’m asking for your support through their Superhero Challenge. This newsletter has been free for six years and will be free forever. It’s a passion of mine to help people discover awesome things to do in Waterloo Region. If you can, a $1 or $5 or even $10 donation will go towards their goal of raising $100,000. You can learn more and donate here.
Thank you and on to the events!
