Head over to Lokal at The Walper Hotel tonight, Monday June 26 for the launch of Sip Back in Time. Their mixology team will be throwing back to the roarings 20's to open this series of classic cocktails. Sip Back in Time runs Monday to Thursday evenings.

Open Sesame is hosting author Anne Elizabeth Moore for a reading from her book Body Horror: Capitalism, Fear, Misogyny, Jokes (Curbside Splendor, 2017), a new essay collection that Publishers Weekly called "sharp, shocking, and darkly funny" in a starred review. From the shadows of Halls Lane comes Tame the Lane IV | Block Party. Smile.io, Perimeter Development, TWH Social, Gilt, City of Kitchener and the Kitchener BIA have teamed up to bring the biggest block party in Kitchener to King Street. This block party has everything; a jousting ring, mechanical bull ride, axe throwing, World champion DJ Vekked and beer from Elora Brewing, TWB, Kensington Brewing and Wellington Brewery. Thursday, June 29 from 5pm to 9pm around 305 King Street West.

For Canada Day - the City of Kitchener is bring the James Barker Band to Carl Zehr Square. There will be food trucks, a beer tent and an even bigger fireworks show from the roof of City Hall.
