Every Tuesday is Discovery Square in downtown Kitchener. Bring your kids down to explore all kinds of science with groups like THEMUSEUM, Tinker Truck and FIRST Robotics. Science is dropped from 5pm to 8pm every Tuesday.
Thursday, July 6 is is the 1st Thursday block party at Goudies Lane People-Only Patio! There'll be live music by Spoke And Mirror, JoJo Worthington and Eiyn Sof. There's giant Jenga and my favourite big Kerplunk too. Plus, J&P Grocery, Bread Heads, Rescue Dogs Vegan Hot Dogs & Street Fare will be in the lane serving up delicious grub. Goudies Lane People-Only Patio is located between 8 & 20 Queen St. N., next to J&P. + there's parking in the Duke\Ontario garage.
Also on Thursday, July 6, Princess Cinemas has "Breakdancing but with Jokes!" featuring comedians Jackie Pirico and Nick Nemeroff. Doors open at 9pm.
Continuing with the Thursday theme - Truckeatscooltreats is back with Fo' Cheezy Food Truck and Thewildboar at Ambrosia Pastry Co at 150 Roger St in Waterloo.
Not on Thursday, The Apollo Cinema's Food & Film Series Classic Feast brings you Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" on Saturday, July 8. Apollo pairs the film with an awesome menu featuring whitefish tacos, fried chicken, and a chocolate birds nest dessert.
Friday, July 7 and Saturday July 8 brings Cruising on King back to downtown Kitchener. King Street will be filled with classic cars and live music. Check the schedule for full details.
Victoria Park becomes the region's biggest outdoor dance party with the Kultrún Festival. Running July 7-9, Kultrún is a family-friendly celebration of diversity featuring local, national and international world music bands, all-ages interactive activities, workshops by professional artists, performance art, a food, craft and art market and a beer garden cantina. The festival runs Saturday from noon to 11pm and Sunday from noon to 9pm.
