Waterloo Region's hottest club is Startups and Beers. Organizer Sam Trieu has broken the mold with this one. Located in the renovated Catalyst 137, this event has everything; robots, smart city tech, digital forensics, startups, eLearning, live video transport technology and publishing optimization. There's also beer. And cider. Cider is important as it is better than beer. Don't @ me. Come meet some local startups, sample some great beverages and make some new friends. Thursday, Nov. 30 from 5 PM to 9 PM.
Some bands just make an impact on you. I remember being at the Duke of Wellington one random night to witness the raw, sensual power that is The Guilty Pleasure Band. They made such an impact on me that I booked them for a launch party at Thalmic Labs - true story. Want to be moved like I was? They're playing Rhapsody Barrel Bar this Saturday, Dec. 2 starting at 9:30 PM.
White Tiger and Starlight present the White Light Holiday and Vintage Art market - this Saturday, Dec. 2 at Starlight Social Club from 1 PM to 5 PM. Find wicked awesome vintage threads from White Tiger, Meow Boutique, Orange Monkey, Luster and Oak and more. I'm looking for a large denim jacket to complete my Canadian tuxedo. Text me if you see one.
