Tonight, Monday, April 9 is the April edition of KW's most non-stressful networking event - HackerNest KW. Head on over to Unitron (20 Beasley Drive, Kitchener) after 8 PM for an evening of no-pressure networking. Free - but they appreciate a donation to help keep the events going.

The best free comedy in DTK is over at Blackball Comedy inside Rhapsody Barrel Bar starting at 8:30 PM on Tuesday, April 10.

Pitter patter lets get at er! It's Letterkenny trivia night at Descendants Beer & Beverage this Tuesday, April 10 starting at 8 PM.

Toronto's Indie Ale House visits Arabella Park this Thursday, April 12. There'll be some barrel aged brews along with some of their other beers.

Every Thursday at White Rabbit in Waterloo is Poke & Tiki night. Authentic poke bowls made with salmon or tofu are only $15 and they have an extensive tiki cocktail menu.

Centre in the Square presents the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony Signature Series performance "Bénédicte Plays Barber" this Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14. Both shows are at 8 PM.

Want to skate like it's 1980 again? For one night only, your Kitchener Fighting Fräuleins are bringing groove skating back to Kitchener, with a family friendly and adults only groove skate at Grand River Arena on Saturday, April 14. If you missed Kitchener Sync the first time around, or want to see it again, this is your chance to see it on the big screen. Meet the creators, cast, and crew and learn more about the upcoming six episode series airing on FibeTV1 this fall. Kitchener Sync is the story of a hip young woman from Toronto who moves to Kitchener for a position at a tech company in the “Silicon Valley of the North." When she finds out it's not the job she thought it was, she discovers how interesting Kitchener's innovation district really is, as she tries to "start up" her new life. Saturday, April 14 at 6 PM at the Apollo Cinema.

This Saturday, Apri; 14 kicks off the RunWaterloo Elmira ENDURace. Taking place over two Saturday evenings in April - the first is a 5k on April 14, and the second an 8k on April 21. Run either as separate races, or run both to be eligible for the series awards.

Ben Bolt-Martin, Principal Conductor and the Waterloo Chamber Players will present Dvorak’s Symphony #9, “From the New World” on Sunday, April 15 in the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda from 3 to 6 PM.

Over at the day job....we're down to seven weeks before our first True North conference. True North is a conference about the good and bad in tech - and finding ways to work together to build a better future for everyone.
