Find out how to channel improvisational skills for the workplace in a fun and safe environment with Green Light Arts' Artistic Producer Matt White. This Communitech Summer School program is open to the public. Tuesday, August 28 from 6 to 8 PM.
The Maker's Collective has another meetup this Wednesday, August 29 starting at 6 PM at Arabella Park in Midtown (Is Belmont in Midtown now? - Ed.) The Maker's Collective Club is a place for makers, freatives and entrepreneurs to support, educate and inspire one another.
Not zen enough yet? Get your stretch on in Huron Natural Area this Thursday, August 30 at 7 pm with the a free yoga session hosted by the City of Kitchener. This outdoor yoga program will be led by a certified yoga instructor and is suitable for beginners. Please bring your own mat or blanket. Meet on the lawn by the main park entrance.
SSIMWAVE and Athena Software present Movies for Good this Thursday, August 30 starting at 6:30 PM. Catch either "The Princess Bride" or "Back to the Future" for only $5 - all proceeds go to support KidsAbility. (Shout out to SSIMWAVE and Athena Software for being awesome members of our community - Ed.)
Guelph-based travelling drag show "That's My Drag!" is returning to Kitchener for another evening of talented performers hitting the stage with a mix of local talents and some out of towners too. The show is at Grand Trunk Saloon this Thursday, August 30 at 8 PM.
Cycle WR has an active transportation meetup this Thursday, August 30 at 7 PM in The Break Room pool hall in Waterloo.

Belmont Village Bestival
September 15 | Belmont Village, Kitchener
The Belmont Village Bestival is a one day festival bringing local artists to the Village to celebrate music and other artistic expressions in this beautiful gem within the City of Kitchener. Head down and check out their European style street festival held in the heart of Midtown. There will be a wide variety of musicians, dancers, children’s entertainers, visual artists and more with performance venues at Belmont's restaurants, cafes and outdoor patios.

LUMEN
September 29 | Uptown Waterloo
Lumen is a festival that showcases light based new media, media art, and projection based installations. This free event invites citizens to explore the city through a new lens -- one that illuminates Waterloo through art and technology. Lumen will take place in uptown Waterloo on September 29, 2018 from 6 - 11p.m. More details to be announced shortly.
