Transit around the region - walking, cycling, buses and rail - will continue to be a major issue for the next four years and beyond. Building Waterloo Region into the best place to walk, bike and take public transit benefits those of who call this home and will also help attract more people to live and work here.

Dear Rouge play Maxwell's Music and Events on Tuesday, October 16 with special guests Modern Space and Ellevator.
PowerShiftWR is going to be at Partnering with Nature to Heal the Biosphere on Tuesday, October 16 from 6:30 to 9 PM at the Kitchener Public Library. A handful of leading-edge thinkers will be presenting their solutions at a public forum. All speakers have been involved in research and practices that contribute to the reversal of greenhouse gas emissions through natural agricultural approaches and tree-planting to restore land, and from environmental activists who see the need to encourage any and all methods to draw down existing carbon that will complement the technological methods of preventing future emissions.
Avocado Mixer 18: "Bringing Sustainability Home" is this Wednesday, October 17 from 6:30m to 9:30 PM at TWB Brewing. Join them for an evening to discuss and share ideas on how to bring sustainability home. Snacks from SevenShores, drink from TWB Brewing and WrouteInc will be there with one of their Tesla Model Xs.

On Thursday, October 18, Taps and Apps - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region’s signature event -returns to the Walper Hotel. The Kitchener Community Light The Night Walk is this Friday, October 19. Join them for a walk from the UW School of Pharmacy to Grand River Hospital to raise money to end blood cancer.
