House of Patties, like the name suggests, serves up Jamaican patties. Jamaican patties have gotten quite popular recently because they are convenient to prepare and absolutely delicious, perfect for a quick lunch, grab and go street-food, or entertaining and feeding a large group of people. House of Patties is a take-away shop that sells hot and frozen Jamaican patties. They do have a tall table where you can stand and enjoy your patty in-store. They are located in the same plaza as Edelweiss Tavern on Doon Village Road and Homer Watson. Their patties have a generous filling of meat and/or vegetables, surrounded by a flaky, golden pastry. Try out the more popular Curry Goat Patty and the Jerk Chicken Patty or a Jamaican classic Ackee & Saltfish Patty. Do prepare yourself though, many of their patties come with a good spicy kick from the Scotch bonnet pepper. 600 Doon Village Road in Kitchener.
