Kinkaku is a staple in Downtown Kitchener, and go-to for socials or for a food coma experience. An “izakaya” is a Japanese pub that serves small tapas or apps alongside drinks to help the after-work crowd unwind. Kinkaku has an all-you-can eat lunch and dinner menu, and a take-out menu with sushi and appetizers. When ordering from the AYCE menu, the dishes comes out staggered and incredibly fast. I always ask for the dinner menu even at noon because I can’t live without their carpaccio, endless high quality sashimi, creme brulee, and deep fried mars bars not found on their lunch menu. Because of their popularity, they often have long wait times.

We're excited to bring you restaurant reviews from KWFOMO. Followm them on Instagram for more awesome places to eat and drink in Waterloo Region.
