Women Techmakers Waterloo has a celebration of International Women's Day 2019 tonight from 6 to 9. They'll be celebrating a diverse group of Women Techmakers from across Kitchener-Waterloo region and their invaluable contributions to technology.

Join CAFKA for a reception with the artists of CAFKA @ The Walper 2019. CAFKA @ The Walper 2019 is an exhibition featuring six contemporary artists whose practices are based in Southern Ontario. Works by Vessna Perunovich, Shaheer Zazai, Jordyn Stewart and Amy Lockhart will be on view from March 1 through April 2019 in the public spaces of the hotel. From March 22 through March 25 two rooms in the hotel will be given over to installations by Audrey D'Astous and the Call Again Collective.

Saturday, Mar 23
This Saturday is the 25th anniversary of Mike Mignola's "Hellboy". Lookin' for Heroes comic book shop in downtown Kitchener is celebrating Hellboy Day with a free special edition with a new cover of the first issue of Hellboy, posters, buttons and more. (While supplies last.)
Every Saturday in March multi-award winning trumpet player Brownman Ali (2x National Jazz Award winner) will lead five different all-star ensembles through five historic eras of jazz which Miles Davis catalyzed and immortalized with his presence. This Saturday, March 23 is "Bitches Brew to Tutu" - Electric Miles at TWH Social in Downtown Kitchener.
The Clay & Glass Gala is this Saturday. The event features live music, exciting art activities with local artists such as glass-fusing and ceramics, a silent auction of artwork from notable Canadian artists as well as upscale entertainment and travel packages. Wine tastings will be hosted throughout the evening by Rebecca Pettigrew of The Winey Somm, and the event will be catered by Public Kitchen & Bar. This elegant evening supports the programs at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery. Tickets are $125 and can be purchased online.

Articus Productions and LOT42 present FOREST/FIRE, a circus variety show featuring the hilarious and daring adventures of two circus Lumberjacks as they compete to see who is the most graceful (and brave), followed by the scorching flames of the world-renowned FireGuy Show! It all begins with the exciting exploits of a cat that's not afraid of heights.
Your Kitchener Public Library has a free screening of "Ralph Breaks the Internet" at 2 PM.

The Perimeter Institute presents Jonathan Roozeman on cello next Thurs, March 28 at 7:30 PM. Finnish-Dutch cellist Jonathan Roozeman is already establishing himself as a cellist of exceptional musical integrity. At the age of 17, Jonathan won the 2015 Tchaikovsky Competition, making him the youngest prize-winner ever. From there, he has played with the world’s most renowned orchestras and conductors.
