FOMO.

The Cactus is a cozy, family-owned Mexican restaurant tucked away in the plaza between Philip, Albert and Bearinger Road. They are an expansion of the popular Cambridge Mexican restaurant, Latinoamerica Unida. For something exotic, try their feature cow tongue tacos, but call ahead to double-check they are serving them up that day! The Cactus is commonly praised as the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the city. Each bite gives you a plethora of spices, chillies, and even chocolate as seen in their Mole. If you’re not feeling too adventurous, they also serve up some amazing Gringas (quesadilla with al pastor meat), Chimichangas (deep-fried burritos), and beloved Churros. They can substitute any filling with vegetables for those looking for a meatless option.

We're excited to bring you restaurant reviews from KWFOMO. Follow them on Instagram for more awesome places to eat and drink in Waterloo Region.
