Join local Artist Candice Leyland in a free workshop and learn how you can join the Urban Sketcher's Movement and create loose, expressive sketches of our neighbourhood! Students will learn about sketching supplies, the Urban Sketching Movement and how to capture their surroundings quickly and expressively using a variety of media. 6:30-7:30 at Ambrosia on Frederick St.

Your Waterloo Public Library presents "Fifty Years Over the Rainbow: The Stonewall Riots and the Legacy of Judy Garland" on Wednesday at 7 PM. Michelle Johnston, a PhD student at Wilfrid Laurier University, will discuss the legacies of Judy Garland and the Stonewall riots and how they continue to influence modern gay culture and society at large.
Hacienda presents Hacienda Market from 5:30 to 10 PM. They serve up curated cheese, charcuterie, wine and colourful cocktails at their insanely beautiful 6-acre, Spanish-inspired spot on Union. $25 gets you in and they have live music too.

Ever thought about running a marathon or marathon? Runner's Choice's marathon clinic starts today and runs 16 weeks, meeting in-store Thursday at 5:45pm, and Sunday at 7:15am. Long time clinic instructor Michele Craddock will be in-store at 5pm on July 4 to answer any questions you may have before registering. Register in-store before July 4th for $59.95, anytime after July 4 will cost $69.95.

Five regional artist-run organizations (The Art District Gallery, ArtsPay, Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists, Riverside Print Group and Uptown Gallery) have been working together to create ‘Local Art for Local Walls’. The initiative works to promote art events happening in Kitchener-Waterloo, and increase collaboration between arts organizations. They're having presenting their very first juried show at The Gallery at 52 (52 Regina St N Waterloo) this Thursday. Come celebrate the opening and the beginning of summer. Local musicians will be playing on the porch, there will have plenty of refreshments and the artists will be present to talk about their work.
Come celebrate local musician Matt Martin as he releases his second single "Summer Nights" at Dallas from 7 - 10:30 PM. It's a full concert with special guests, fellow country music artists Dustin Bird and Karli June.

Over at TWH Social, the award-winning Brownman Akoustic Trio explores and interprets the songs of legendary songwriter Cole Porter. Limited tickets at the door - $20.
