Local education tech pioneer D2L is turning 20! To commemorate this milestone, friends of D2L and the community are invited to walk through some of their history and into the future of learning on July 16 between 5 and 8 PM at D2L headquarters in the Tannery Building in Downtown Kitchener. There will be a food truck, office tours and lots of D2Lers will be on hand to walk you through their Deconstructed Time Capsule. Registration is required.

Kik's LGBTQ+ Board Game Bonanza is this Thursday from 7 to 10 PM in their office in Catalyst 137 in midtown. Head over to socialize, play some games and support the LGBTQ+ community. The Kik team will be accepting and matching donations for OK2BME.

Three artists. Three breweries. One great night. The folks at Good Company Productions are celebrating the 26th annual Sun Life Financial UpTown Waterloo Jazz Festival with Brass and Brews - a popup concert featuring three great acts. But who and where you may ask? That's the thing - the three acts and the venue are secrets until this week.

Maxwell's Concert and Events presents Sizzle Summer Cabaret - a cabaret show from Brass Butterflies and Sassy Ray Burlesque. It's an evening of amateur/student burlesque, dance and pole performances as well as feature appearances by special guest professional artists. 8 PM.

Enjoy Kitchener Ribfest this weekend in Victoria Park! There's beer and cider from over 20 different Ontario breweries and cideries - plus ribs. So much ribs.

Head uptown this weekend for the 2019 Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival featuring the Loop Doctors, Clefs of Mohr, Eilana Cueves and more.

Saturday, July 20
Descendants has live music with Annette Grotentraast from 1 to 4 PM.

Jane Bond has Music for the Masses Retro Saturday with DJ Good Dr starting at 10 PM. No cover.

More comedy uptown tonight with Comedy at the Saw at Chainsaw. Featuring improv comedy from The Making Box, Theatre on the Edge and Laughs on Tap. Sets by stand-up comics Melo and and Nathan Teixeira. And musical performances from Skweezy C, Sammy Duke, and the Axelords of Zanzibar.

Keep the jazz fest going with Nick Maclean's SNAGGLE Waterloo Jazz Fest After-Party at TWH Social starting at 10 PM.

Sunday, July 21
Ladies who L(a)unch premieres their running and brunch series this Sunday starting at 10:30 AM. They'll be running a running a bit over 6.5km loop through Kitchener ending at a brunch spot nearby. There are walking and just brunch options too!

Head downtown to Rhapsody for an afternoon of live music starting at 4 PM with Mike's Monster Jam.

Smash Wrestling presents The New Kids On The Block of Wrestling at the Tannery Event Centre. Come check out some awesome amateur wrestling in downtown Kitchener.
