Put that Disney trivia to good use for Disney Renaissance trivia at Descendants Beer and Beverage starting at 8 p.m. That's Disney movies from 1989-1999.

Straight from Yorkshire, England - it's Benjamin Francis Leftwich on the Maxwell's Music and Events stage starting 8 p.m.

Turn it up to 11. Princess Cinemas has "Spinal Tap" on at 9:15 p.m.

Join The Maker’s Collective on Wednesday, October 16 for a mini market with food and maker vendors along with a panel discussion on personal growth and development. Tickets go on sale October 1.

Patent Social has their Comic Sans show on starting at 8 p.m. It's a night of comedy sans misogyny, sans rape jokes, sans harm.

The Kitchener-Waterloo Poetry Slam presents an evening with Nate Marshall and Eddie Lartey at THW Social starting at 7 p.m. Marshall is the author of the Wild Hundreds, winner of the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize and featured in the original "Louder Than a Bomb" documentary.

Centre in the Square presents Cowboy Junkies and Friends with performances by Skydiggers and LeE HARVeY OsMOND starting at 7 p.m.

Friday, October 18
Maxwell's Music and Events has Dwayne Gretzky on at 8:30 p.m. for their album release tour.

Well, hello, Mister Fancypants. The Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre presents "Evil Dead: The Musical" which takes all the elements of the cult classic films (The Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness) and combines them for one of the most crazy, hilarious, and bloodiest theatrical experiences of all time.

THEMUSEUM and Museum After Dark present Dance Mix 90s Volume 3. $25 gets you for a night of great 90s music because new music will never be as good as the 90s. Sorry, this is just a fact.

Saturday, October 19
Caribbean catering company Irie Myrie's is celebrating their grand opening over at Workhaus in downtown Kitchener from 11 to 9 p.m.

Flavours of Kitchener Walking Tour will expose you to the restaurants in the downtown area with local food expert Andrew Coppolino. He'll also introduce you to the cooks and restaurateurs who work wonders with the best of what our region grows and makes and, in fact, some of the best from around the world. 11 to 2 p.m. in downtown Kitchener.

The fifth annual Kitchener Public Library DIY Festival is back from 1 to 4 p.m. Come learn something new, find a new hobby, acquire a new skill, join or support a local organization, start a new business or share your do-it-yourself enthusiasm.

Zeus plays Starlight Social Club - doors at 7, music at 8. Stay for the Global Warming DJs right after.

Over at Jane Bond, it's the one year anniversary of Music for the Masses. Come out at 10 for a spotlight night on The Cure.

The Uptown Waterloo Great Barrel Race has been moved to this Sunday, October 20.

Descendants Beer and Beverage is hosting a wedding open house from 12 to 4 p.m. Come check out some great vendors - and take a look at their awesome space as a spot to make your vows in front of friends, family and craft beer.

McDougall Cottage Historic Site in Cambridge (Yes, your eyes do not deceive you, we have Cambridge content. -Ed.) presents their Samhain (Hallowe'en) Tartan Tea from 2 to 4 p.m. Dress up in your favourite custom and eat some cucumber sandwiches. (The sandwiches are haunted. -Ed.)

The Great Food Sort Challenge is an energetic corporate and community-based challenge where teams of 10 compete to see who can sort the most food the fastest.
