The Food Bank of Waterloo's Great Food Sort Challenge is coming up on October 22-24. 3 Days. 30 Teams. 1 Goal. The Great Food Sort Challenge is an energetic corporate and community-based challenge where teams of 10 compete to see who can sort the most food the fastest. This awesome team building event brings people together to help fight hunger in our community.

Good Company Productions and Downtown Kitchener BIA present Jam Sessions: Halloween Edition at Workhaus. They'll have instruments - or bring your own! Come out and jam and wear a costume for their costume contest.

Thursday, October 24
Taps and Apps is back for another awesome evening with ten local restaurants, ten local craft breweries and distilleries, and live music with proceeds going to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region. It's a great night of networking, food, and drink at Catalyst 137.
It's a night of witch + wellness at the Midnight Co in Waterloo. It's a fun filled night with lots of crystals and high vibes. Come discover your archetype through their quiz and learn all about mental wellness, get a first look at their new wonderfully witchy collections including upcycled hand painted denim/faux leather jackets, crystal malas with interchangeable guru beads and essential oil "potions," or even get a flash soul tattoo by Off-Grid Ink or a mini tarot reading from Nicole Bishop.

Head uptown for a special Halloween edition of Campfire with the City of Waterloo. Bring a blanket or your favourite hoodie and gather around the campfire with friends and neighbours for some scary storytelling, warm drinks, fire, and more! Ladies Learning Code has their Introduction to Javascript program running today from 10 till 4 p.m at Vidyard. It's a great day of learning where you'll get into the basics of how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together to build exciting web experiences.
It's the 6th Annual Howl-o-Ween Parade with Dog Haus Waterloo. Meet at Kitchener City Hall at 1 p.m. Join their petrifying pack as they strut theur stuff through downtown Kitchener and Victoria Park. (Dogs in costumes. How can you not go to this. -Ed.)
The Kitchener Market has their Monster Mash Halloween Party from 10 a.m. to noon. Treats and music will be enjoyed and the Kitchener Public Library will be onsite, doing stories and crafts.
Join Relish Cooking Studio and MP TOURS as they visit some of the best local artisan cheese and craft beer producers in Oxford County. It's an early start where they treat you to a brown bag Relish-made breakfast before boarding the luxury bus and heading out for a day of delightful exploration down some country roads.
