The Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation has their open house today from 4 to 7 p.m. Come out and celebrate the start of the holidays and learning more about KWCF and how you can get involved.

Over in Ayr, Willibald has a can release party for their Party House Special and they'll be dropping a new stout too.

Onion Honey plays Grand Truck Saloon starting at 7:30 p.m.

In more beer news, TWB Brewing Cooperative and Wooden Boat Food Company are releasing their collab Vietnamese Spiced Smoked Ale. Wooden Boat will be onsite with a menu of tasty sliders to pair with your beer! Beer is available by the glass, or in bottles or growlers to go home!

The Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery has another Walk the Talk: Gallery Tour for their exhibits Glints and Reflections and all the world began with a yes. Pack your stroller and your child and head over for a parent-friendly gallery tour with the awesome KWAG staff.

The Waterloo Central Railway has their Polar Express experience today starting at 5:30 p.m. Runs multiple weekends through December. Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, passengers will relive the magic of the story as they are whisked away on THE POLAR EXPRESS, following a short pre-show inside the station scheduled to entertain ticket holders prior to boarding. (We have never seen this move. Please don't judge us. -Ed.)

The Christkindl Market returns to Downtown Kitchener and runs through Sunday, December 8. Live music, unique vendors and more to help you get in the holiday spirit. (Nick Benniger, please bring back the bone broth. -Ed.)

Join Family & Children's Services of the Waterloo Region Foundation for the 27th Annual CHYM Tree of Hope Radiothon. CHYM 96.7 will be broadcasting LIVE between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. at The Family Centre and all-day long there are free family friendly activities including crafts, storytelling, a collaborative art project, choir, and special guests!

There's a screening of the documentary PUSH as the Princess Cinemas starting at 6:30 p.m. PUSH follows Canadian Lelani Farha, UN special rapporteur on the right to housing, as she travels the world to figure out who is being pushed out of cities. Presented by Powershift, the KW Community Foundation, ALLIN2020 and the Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation.

The Saturday morning all-you-can-eat-cereal cartoon party is back at the Apollo Cinema with their Holiday edition. The lineup is always a secret, but there will be monsters, sci-fi, sleuths, superheroes and all kinds of 2D silliness, so get ready for a sugar rush and an explosion of nostalgia all wrapped up in one candy-coated package.
