Waterloo's hottest festival is Winterloo. This festival has everything; DJ Flash, ice skating, dog sled rides, and the annual chili cook-off where Nick and Ryan turn King Street into a thunderdome of "you'll regret eating this in the morning" carnage.

Get your growlers filled. Downtown will soon be bookended by two craft breweries. Last week, TWB Cooperative Brewing opened its doors at 300 Mill Street in Kitchener. Descendants Beer is doing their build out now at their location on Victoria Street with an opening later this spring. You can pick up their beer at your local LCBO now - and probably recognize the labels as the work of local bearded artist Jon Johnson.
