Fast falcons, stealthy owls and crafty hawks - oh my. Come learn about birds in our area at Nature in the City Speaker Series: Wild Ontario - Birds of Prey at your Kitchener Public Library starting at 7 pm.
The Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery has a screening of Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" across the park at Kitchener Public Library starting at 6:30 pm.
The Centre for International Government Innovation (CIGI) has a Susan Etlinger presenting on The State of Responsible Tech in Business: Artificial Intelligence starting at 7 pm.
Centre in the Square has Ballet Jazz Montreal: Leonard Cohen's Dance Me on stage starting at 8 pm.
Elora Brewing Company x Queen of Craft are bringing you a night of open dialogue and good beer. The EBC x QOC Women and Beer Night is an evening where guests can ask questions and learn about beer in a space that celebrates women's historical involvement in brewing.
Life In Homemade and Counterpoint Brewing Company present "Isoji: Revival A Food and Beer Sermon by Chef Teneile Warren". It's an evening featuring an eight course meal that pays homage to Chef Warren's culinary life changers. Eight inspired courses paired with four specially brewed Counterpoint Beers with images curated by Vintage Black Canada. Starts at 6 p.m. at Counterpoint Brewing on Frederick Street.
Thursday, February 20
Prints and Pints is back at Descendants Beer & Beverage starting at 6 pm. Presented by the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery, Prints and Pints is an experimental workshop combing art and craft beer. This month's workshop is Collagraph Printed Can Labels.
The Waterloo Brewing Taphouse has Brooklyn 99 Trivia starting at 7 pm.
Get your dog or cat microchiped for only $30 at the KW Humane Society,
CIGI is hosting the opening reception for Documenting Black Families. This exhibit is curated by Aaron Francis and Vintage Black Canada and showcases archival photography exploring black families in the Southern Ontario region who have photographic records of their transnational identities and ways in which these identities have helped them create a sense of place in Canada.
Blue Rodeo are back at Centre in the Square starting at 8 pm.

HockeyTown is back in downtown Kitchener for a day of hockey, BBQ and games.
tri-Pride presents "Into the Rainbow" at Queen Street Yoga. This event is for people of all ages and has a number of different exhibitions from local artists and performers, and activities like yoga, board games, art workshops, contact improv and an elders panel.
Maxwell's Concert and Events presents My Favorite Headache: Canada’s RUSH Tribute on stage at 8 pm.
Apollo's Soundtrack Singalong is here again with Mama Mia starting at 1 pm.
Waterloo's best Saturday night dancing is Global Warming at Starlight Social Club. They have everything: DJ 88, Attila the Spun, DJ Froyo and DJ JoshChong. $5 at the door. Door at 10 PM.

AltCon is a conference at THEMUSEUM that is all about marketing yourself and your company. It kicks off today and runs through Tuesday with keynote speaker Sarah Landry (@TheBirdsPapaya on Instagram).
Jokes at Jane's starts at 8 pm with headliner Natalie Norman.
The Walk the Talk: Vault Tour at the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery takes you behind-the-scenes to look into the racks and rooms that house over 4300 works of art from the Gallery’s Permanent Collection with Assistant Curator Jennifer Bullock.

Zeitspace has a workshop on web accessibility starting at 5:30 pm. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Web Accessibility will help you gain tools and understanding for designing and developing web content that meets basic accessibility standards.
The Grand River Film Festival. THEMUSEUM and CIGI present Cinema Series: "Through a Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People". Directed by Thomas Allen Harris and inspired by Deborah Willis's book Reflections in Black, the documentary explores the role of photography in shaping the identity, aspirations, and social emergence of African Americans from slavery to the present.
