The signs of spring are all around us - the windows are being installed at Smile Tiger Coffee, concrete is being poured under the giant dome next to Google, maple syrup buckets are on trees in Midtown. It's March Break this week - and St. Patrick's Day - so dust off that spring jacket and head out to an event around town.

Live music lovers rejoice.
In what seems like the fastest build out ever, Rhapsody Barrel Bar is opening this Monday, March 14th. They have an amazing full schedule of live music starting on Tuesday.

Next door neighbour Gypsy Lee, a clothing boutique, will be opening soon too.

Public kitchen and bar is getting ready to open their second location at 324 Frederick Street in Kitchener - a food shop and take-away restaurant. Andrew Coppolino wrote a good piece on it back in December - worth the read.

IRL Festival is bringing contemporary and traditional Irish culture to the Waterloo Region during the week of March 12th – 19th 2016. Aspiring chefs from the Conestoga College School of Business & Hospitality are hosting themed Pop-Up dinners at the Kitchener Farmers Market. This week's is an Irish Gastro Pub hosted by Shalini Govindarajan. I looked at the menu, there's a surprising lack of potatoes.

Some people say the original Leprechaun was the best. They're wrong, 1997's Leprechaun 4 In Space was the best. Regardless of my thoughts, the Apollo Cinema is showing the original Leprechaun on St. Patrick's Day. Is nothing is sacred anymore? < Insert lucky charms joke here >
