Ways to support local

Dairy Queen KW and KW Habilitation are partnering this week to raise funds to support children with any special need and adults with developmental disabilities. Dairy Queen will donate $3 for every cake you purchase will at DQ Boardwalk and DQ King Street North this week.
The need for accessible mental health services has never been greater and KW Counselling Services really needs our help in order to make sure they can continue to provide counselling services to those in need. Since they can't host their annual Taste of the Region event this year, KW Counselling Services is hosting an online auction starting on Thursday, August 27 and running through September 27.
The R+T Park and The Food Bank have partnered to raise funds for up to 4,000 bottles of water to be distributed to vulnerable members of the community through The Food Bank and their partners. While many of us take our access to water for granted, the temporary closure of free public water stations due to COVID-19 coupled with the extreme heat mean many people in our region are struggling to access water. Learn more here about how you can help.

"This whole pandemic has felt like one big f**kup and we endeavour to make the best of it." You have to appreciate the viewpoint from the team at F**kup Nights Kitchener-Waterloo. They're bringing a physically-distant version of their story time to you on September 1 at the Catalyst 137 parking lot (with the COVID-19 testing centre as a backdrop no less). Details here.
