HackerNest, Butter Chicken, and Deadpool at the Apollo

Eating and drinking and working.

Both Uptown Waterloo and Downtown Kitchener are anchored on King Street - the road that amazingly goes north, south, east, and west at the same time. Midtown, the Frankenstein's monster of neighbourhoods, has its heart on Belmont Avenue. If you haven't been down to Belmont since Vincenzo's moved, you're missing out on an evolving culinary scene. Augmenting an already awesome array of eateries, the last few months have seen the opening of The Berlin Bicycle Cafe, Chelsea Market, and soon Arabella Park. Jeff MacIntyre spotted that long time residents Casa Rugantino are expanding into the recently vacated Toy Sense....just in time for patio season.

Also, it's Monday - you should go for the buffet at Raja Kitchener.
Quick hits this week -
This Friday is "An Evening With Kirstin Stewart at Kitchener Public Library" - tickets are still available, registration is free.
"Deadpool" is coming to The Apollo Cinema this Friday.

This offbeat comedy features an immigrant couple from Poland who are having a hard time in their strange new country - examining the possibility that, while you may not be able to go home again, that doesn’t mean home can’t keep messing with your head. I grew up in Florida, surrounded by roaches, so not sure if I can handle watching this.
