Winter Came Back

Eating and drinking and working.

If you're reading this, you're probably a fan of local businesses - or my mom - but either way, you'll be ecstatic to see that the signs for Public Market have gone up at 324 Frederick St in Kitchener. That's not all - Smile Tiger Coffee has opened as of 5am today - so head on over to 100 Ahrens St off Victoria St. They open early for all you GO and Via Rail riders too.

If you've ever wanted to be on "The Price Is Right" then you should check out Centre In The Square today. They're having a Mother's Day sales with 15% tickets to upcoming shows including "The Price Is Right LIVE!", The Gipsy Kings, and UB40. Sale is today only - use the promo code "MOMSROCK".

Friend of the newsletter Agnes Niewiadomski is opening Mindful Makers, a new summer camp for the little makers and hackers in your life. Mindful Makers works to help children develop hands-on maker skills, which in turn will boost a child's self esteem and happiness by achieving a sense of mastery over their world. They also might invent something awesome so you can retire early. Or at least fix the toaster. Mindful Makers has an early Bird discount now until April 30 - Get $25 off each full week registration.

Fri, Apr 29 | Uptown Waterloo
In what is either a well played marketing move or proof that the City of Waterloo's events team is made up of seers, witches, and warlocks - Corduroy Road is playing next to the corduroy road this Friday. Seriously, how is no one talking about this? We find a ancient corduroy road buried under the city and then the band Corduroy Road plays on top of that very road! Corduroy Road is even following me on Twitter now. Mention "Final Fridays" at Abe Erb for $4 beers or $6 wine. Maybe try looking into a mirror and saying Final Friday three times to see what happens too.
