Eating and drinking and working.

Two legacy properties in town are heading for some interesting changes. First, the towers at 30 Duke St will have some of its floors converted to one-bedroom apartments.
Next, the north end of Waterloo will be getting its signature hotel back. London based ABB Hotel Management is re-opening the shuttered Waterloo Inn (475 King St N, Waterloo) as The Inn of Waterloo. I'm guessing they went with that name because of the SEO vaue. The developers will also be building a high-rise residential building in the future.
The KW Youth Theatre has two shows this weekend. On Friday, May 13, you can see Monster's Inc at 6pm. On Saturday, May 15, they're performing their version of The Little Mermaid at 3pm. Both shows are at the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts (36 King St W) in Kitchener.
What to do.

Painting Social at Settlement Co | 23 King St N, Waterloo | Fri, May 13 | 7pm
There are a few spots open for this Friday's ARTSHINE Art & Social Mixer at Settlement Co. Enjoy one of their wicked awesome cocktails while you learn how to paint like the masters. Or at least better than my 4yo. Don't tell her I said that.

Morning Yoga and Breakfast | The Berlin | 45 King St W | Starts June 2
Peanut butter and jelly. Beer and wings. Some things are just meant to go together. The next contender for magical duo made in the heavens is the Morning Yoga and Breakfast program at The Berlin. Start your day with 60 minutes of yoga and finish off with a breakfast prepared by Chef Jonathan Gushue. This seems slightly healthier than my current program of rewarding myself for taking the stairs by eating a shawarma plate.
