What to do.
Today is the last day to get early bird tickets for the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery's Black and Gold Gala. The gallery is celebrating sixty years of connecting people and ideas through art - and their annual fundraiser, the Black & Gold Gala will take place on October, 20. Plus, it's hosted by Mike Farwell - so you know it'll be a good time.
It's also Women's Bike Safety Night at 6pm - brought to you by Recycle Bikes (37 Market Lane, Kitchener) at The Working Centre. It's a friendly meet-up event for local women who are eager to feel more comfortable riding a bike in the city. Bike maintenance and road safety experts will be on-site too.
Thursday Nights UpTown in uptown Waterloo is back again on Thursday, August 11. Unheard Of, Macpherson Shadow Wolfe, The Rocker Ville, and Juneyt will be performing.
Social Art has their Starry Night Fundraiser on Friday, August 12 at 108 Ahrens St, Kitchener. You'll be instructed on how to paint your own 16"x20" acrylic on canvas Starry Night Sail painting, all while enjoying a social night out to raise funds for YMCA Cambridge's Small Steps to Success Program.
