Eating and drinking and working.

Last Monday, I needed to go to Toronto for a meeting. Decided to give Greyhound a try and it was a great alternative to driving. They have decent WiFi too - so I was able to make the most of the four hours I spent sitting on the 401.
The best part was taking a street car from the Fairmount to my meeting. Reminded me why having ION here is so important.
Our local ride-sharing experts RideCo have launched their KW to Pearson and downtown Toronto service.

They're also soft-launching service to new areas around Kitchener and Waterloo. You can also now take RideCo one way to Cambridge, Guelph, Elmira, and more. Visit their stie for more info.
What to do.
You lucky stiff
Need an idea for date night? The Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre's run of "Lucky Stiff" starts on Thursday, September 22. Directed by Elizabeth McFaul, "Lucky Stiff" is part musical farce, part "Weekend at Bernie's". A murder throws English shoe salesman Harry Witherspoon into a chaotic adventure: taking his dead uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo in exchange for a $6 million dollar inheritance. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members.
There are ten days in the week
No one can answer me on why Geek Week is ten days long. Putting that aside for the moment - there's a ton of great events this week. Including, but not limited to: Communitech Tech Jam (Tuesday, September 20 | 5pm), the Latte Art Throw Down at Matter of Taste (Monday, September 19 | 6:30pm), Startup and Beers at 132 Queen St S (Thursday, September 22 | 5pm), Summer Lights Movie Under the Stars (Saturday, September 24 | 8pm), and the National Learn to Code Day at Shopify Plus (Saturday, September 24 | 10am-4pm).
You had me at apple butter
For me, fall begins at the Wellesley Apple Butter Festival. Don't let the name fool you - this festival is more than just apple butter. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had apple butter. There's fresh cider, apple fritters, pancakes, and the Wellesley Idol competition - which you absolutely should not miss. The festivities run on Saturday, September 24 from 7am till the last fritter is gone.
Shop till your drop. It's ok, I know CPR
The Etsy Waterloo Region Made in Canada market is back on Saturday, September 24. It's like shopping on Etsy, but in real life. Come visit some of your favourite local Etsy makers in the Kitchener City Hall rotunda from 9am to 6pm.
