Eating and drinking and working.

There are two great events happening this week that I want to focus on. First, Night\Shift starts Tuesday, November 1 and runs through Saturday, November 5th. That's five nights of placehacking (turning existing spaces into something totally different) for you to get out and explore. I'm planning on heading out to Coffee After Dark at Matter of Taste on Saturday. You had me at espresso and glow sticks.

The Great Gatsby Adventure in support of Grand River Hospital and the Grand River Hospital Foundation is inspired by extravagant parties on Long Island's north shore during the roaring twenties featured in The Great Gatsby. It's your chance to dress to the nines and dance the night away.

The evening will start in the library of the new Vidyard office. From there, there's a bus trip to a private party at an undisclosed location in Kitchener (the secret is all part of the experience). At this private party there will be a live band, a charity casino, taco bar, some beverages and a whole lot of fun.

What to do.

Two kick-ass Guelphlandian, Badminton Racquet + WHOOP-Szo, bands take over the INFINITY TUNNEL – a fabulous, sound-responsive, psychedelic otherworld made by Bernie Rohde & nik harron.

Meet and learn about tomorrow’s leaders in the region, network with your peers, and get a tour of Open Sky Incubator, including the 40,000 sq/ft industrial playground, known as The Mill. There’ll also be free beverages, beer and munchies! Don’t worry about getting dinner on the way to the event - Ish & Chips Food Truck will be onsite. Thursday November 3, 2016 starting at 5pm.
