After what has seemed like years, the major construction in uptown Waterloo is coming to end. King Street in uptown will be re-opened sometime this Wednesday, November 30. In celebration of this and the holidays, head uptown this Saturday, December 3 for the Festival of Living Streets. There'll be horse-drawn carriage rides, a barber shop quartet, live music, and Santa will be making an appearance.

Our family gets a new ornament for the tree each year. This year, it may be this one.

Victoria Park will be lit up Saturday, December 3 at 5:30 for the opening of Christmas Fantasy. There will be live music, crafts and free hot chocolate. Get your photo taken with an ice princess, and visit with Santa and one of his reindeer. Take a trolley ride around Victoria Park provided by the downtown Kitchener BIA.

THEMUSEUM is hosting an Evening of science with Steve Spangler this Wednesday, November 30 at 7pm. Steve Spangler is a best-selling author, educator and Emmy award-winning science communicator who finds the most creative ways to make science fun.
