Join some of D2L’s Women of Technology from their Software Development, Design, Product Management and Technical Account Management team as they talk about their roles and technology at D2L, the impact they have in their roles, and their overall experiences at D2L. While D2L certainly value allies, their Women of Tech session is intended to be an event specifically for women, queer cis, trans women, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centers the experiences of women. Waterloo Public Library has Laurier EdTalks: Innovation in Education at 7 p.m. Learn about computational thinking, an approach to problem solving that uses a logical framework, has become a fundamental skill for learning and future success. This talk will explore what skills are required for this type of thinking and how they are represented across the elementary curriculum and in teacher preparation.
