The streets of Uptown Waterloo come alive when dozens of international buskers come to town for the 35th annual Sun Life Waterloo Busker Carnival. The three-day festival features roaming buskers, a fun-for-the-family Vaudeville show, and a circus workshop where you can learn everything from juggling to stilt walking.

Join Fightback KW for a conversation with Waterloo Region Community Legal Services, the co-defendants arrested for challenging the fencing around Roos Island in Willow River Park, and former Island residents. They will be fundraising for the co-defendants' legal defense.

The Apollo Cinema x A Better Tent City present a screening of “Someone Lives Here”, a modern day David and Goliath story, set against the backdrop of North America’s housing crisis. Carpenter Khaleel Sievwright builds small lifesaving structures for unhoused people living outside in Toronto during the winter of the pandemic. His actions attract international attention, but also staunch opposition from city officials. “Someone Lives Here” follows Khaleel, his tiny shelters, and their residents over the course of one brutal Toronto winter. The screening includes a Q&A with Sievwright and free calzones from Tiny Home Takeout (vegan/vegetarian options available).
