tri-Pride and SPECTRUM are partnering on PRIDEtoberfest at THEMUSEUM. We're bringing some Drag Race royalty to the community: Icesis Couture, Jaida Essence Hall, and Jorgeous. They will perform alongside drag performers from Kitchener, Hamilton, and Guelph to create an awesome show that will be followed by a dance. Tickets are $45 each and the proceeds will support both tri-Pride and SPECTRUM.

The annual Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade is BACK for 2022! The parade starts at 8:30 a.m. at the corner of Weber Street East and Frederick Street and travels up Weber Street to end at the Bridgeport Plaza at the corner of Weber and Bridgeport around 10:00 a.m. The Onkel Hans Food Drive will be collecting monetary donations and non-perishable food items in support of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region right before the parade begins, or donate online here!

Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region’s Big House Party is back in person this year! Join them on Oct. 27 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Farm League Brewing for a fun night of drinks, activities, live music by FireTrain and delicious food provided by Schmuck Truck and The Funnelcloud. This fundraising event directly supports Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region’s mission to build safe and affordable homes for families in our community, such as the homes they are building in Cambridge in 2023.
Friend of the newsletter Jaime Steif operates a weekly drop-off of water and snacks at the Weber + Victoria site and is looking for sponsors if anyone is interested in donating in a one-time or ongoing capacity (anything helps!). She is also helping residents coordinate donations of sleeping bags, tents, blankets and cold-weather gear—all items specifically requested by organizers at both the Weber + Victoria and Willow River Park camps. Reach out to help out.
