Tuesday, August 27
Looking to jump start your career? WatSPEED, part of the University of Waterloo’s lifelong learning division, presents the Career Accelerator Program, providing professional, executive, and corporate education to enhance skills and job prospects in the digital workforce. They’ll have advisors at KPL Central Branch from 11 to 2pm.
The Princess Cinema has a screening of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly at 6:30 pm.
Check out the first-ever Downtown Paddle Palooza Pickleball Festival at Carl Zehr Square from 2 to 8 pm. This free community event will bring together all levels of pickleball play, live music, entertainment, a beer garden and much more!

The Laurier Centre for the Study of Canada (232 King St N, Waterloo) is hosting an end of the summer book sale this week! Drop by on August 29 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm or 30 August from 12:30 pm to 4 pm. Cash only.
Hyness is playing Campfire in Uptown Waterloo on August 28. Every Campfire night features live music, games, and more for the whole family.

Penny & Pound Theatre Productions presents Little Heaven: A New Musical at the Guelph Little Theatre. Set amidst the backdrop of post-World War II Poland, Little Heaven weaves together the stories of those most affected by the horrors of the past, as they grapple to rebuild their lives. Shows August 29 through September 2.
BeccaHosts has 90s Night Music Bingo at The Rabbid Fox starting at 8 pm.

Friday, August 30

Think you can out run a jet? Well, this is the closest you’ll get. Run Waterloo presents The Runway — run on the tarmac of The Region of Waterloo International Airport in either a 2 mile run/walk or 5 mile run.
Tyler Jafelice, A Weekend At Ramona's, and Corbin Hawkins play The Yeti live starting at 8 pm.
Sunday, September 1
The Kitchener Ranger’s Fan Fest and Barbecue is Sunday, September 1 from 11 to 2 p.m. at The Aud (Parking Lot A). As always, admission to the Fan Fest and Barbecue is free for all fans and will include a number of activities including inflatable games, rides, an autograph session with Kitchener Rangers players, and, of course, a BBQ!
Music on the Grand is a fantastic fundraiser for the Cambridge Food Bank featuring the incredible music of the Patti Payne Duo at the Melville Cafe in Cambridge. Tickets are available at Melville Cafe, Suave Social Boutique, and the Art of Home for $40, and all proceeds will be donated to the Cambridge Food Bank.
The Apollo has a 25th anniversary screening of Fight Club at 6:30 pm.
