KW Library of Things, a nonprofit that lends infrequently used home, garden and camping gear, is hosting a Community Yard Sale from 3:30-6:30 pm. Come shop, swap, support, and celebrate building a more circular economy. You can bring up to five gently used items to swap at the swapping station which will enter you into a door prize for a Dyson Vacuum. There will be free snacks, music and fun for the whole community. Nancy Saunders Maitland is speaking at the next meeting of the Waterloo Historical Society. Everyone is welcome to attend this free meeting held at 7:15 p.m. at the Linwood Community Centre, 5279 Ament Rd., Linwood. She’ll be speaking about the history of Wellesley Township and how it is reflected in records and artefacts in the Wellesley Township Heritage and Historical Society collection.

Dr. Dustin Lang from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics will be at KPL’s WCA Astronomy Series at the Central library for a talk on DESI, the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument, and it’s being used to map galaxies across the universe.

Join Kelly Welch, a member of Flying Post First Nation, for a Drumming and Sharing circle at KPL’s Central library at 4 pm. The Circle will open with a smudging ceremony with time and space for sharing the importance and relevance of Indigenous medicines and Truth and Reconciliation.
Learn how apples get from the orchard to your table at Appleflats Orchard on Thursday at 6:30 pm. The tour includes local snacks and a complimentary crabapple product to take home.
⚾ Your Kitchener Panthers are taking on the Brantford Red Sox on Thursday, June 26 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $11 in advance or $13 at the gate. It’s an awesome way to spend a Thursday evening outside!
