Tuesday, June 25
MT Space’s TELL is an open mic and potluck event this Tuesday, June 25 7 pm. From dance to drag to displays of fine art – just about anything you want to share with - they want to see it! Introduce yourselves to the community and connect with others, maybe even make a new friend or two.
The Gaslight District has a double feature of Barbi and Mean Girls (2024, the musical one that’s kind of weird, but a good weird) starting at 7 pm. It’s a free screening too! Bring your blanket and enjoy two awesome movies on one of Canada’s largest outdoor screens.
The Princess Cinema has a screening of the director’s cut of But I’m a Cheerleader at 7 pm.

At this month's KPL astronomy talk, Cam Lawlor-Forsyth will discuss the combination of observations and simulations as a powerful tool in understanding galaxy evolution. 7 pm at KPL’s central branch.
rare is hosting Conversations for Conservation: Loggerhead Shrike – On the Brink of Disappearance in Ontario at 7 pm. Helmi Hess will talk about Wildlife Preservation Canada’s Eastern Loggerhead Shrike Program.
Also at KPL, bring your ride to 85 Green: Drop-in Bike Repair with Red Raccoon Bike Rescue from 6 to 8 pm.
Wednesdays are Lone Wolf Wednesdays at the Adventurer’s Guild Cafe in Downtown Kitchener. They’ll have some tables set aside for anyone that wants to show up, meet people, and try out some random games!

Spend the afternoon in Waterloo Park at the City of Waterloo’s July 1 Community Picnic. Shop at 20 different local artist's booths, meet some of the amazing community organizations in Waterloo and find out how to get involved, and enjoy a variety of foods from different local food trucks. 4 to 10 pm.
Random Sketches Studio and Gallery pop up shop will be set up in the Square Peg Space at 220 King St. W in DTK (next to City Hall) from July 1-28. The grand opening will be on Canada Day from 5-10 pm. There will be hundreds of originals and prints of local buildings and landmarks. Stay tuned for more events all month long.
