Tuesday, March 11
To mark the change of season, the Indigenous Employee Circle at Grand River Hospital, in collaboration with community Elders and Firekeepers, will be holding Sacred Fires and a Drumming Circle on March 11. All are invited to attend, including team members, patients, and community members. Freeport Campus at 12 pm, St. Mary’s at 2 pm, and the KW Campus at 2 pm.
The Princess Cinema has its March Break Family Film Festival all week long. Check out classics like Ratatouille, The Iron Giant, Flow, and more. All tickets $8.00! Presented in partnership with Uptown Waterloo BIA

The Gaslight District has a free in-door double feature with The Minions and The Minions 2: The Rise of Gru at Tapestry Hall. Doors open at 4:30pm! And stick around afterwards, or simply come out to Tapestry Hall at 8 pm for a FREE Meander show in the foyer!
Cool Aunt Creative has a Concrete Bulbasaur Planter Painting Workshop at Metro Restaurant starting at 7 pm.
The 6th annual Femme Folks Fest continues with more performances, presentations, and events. The festival features original works by nationally recognized and local artists, the festival includes both free and ticketed events celebrating women-identified, presenting, and non-binary artists.
Wednesday, March 12
Check out the Noon Hour Concert: Brass Beyond Boundaries at the Conrad Grebel Chapel The Kitchener Brass Quintet will present a program that ranges from the early Renaissance to modern Broadway - going through jazz, classical, folk and more - in order to showcase the versatility and colorful soundscapes of the brass quintet, for audiences old and new.
Enjoy live music featuring members and associates of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony at KPL. This week, it’s Jung Tsai, violin and Rebecca Morton, cello, at noon.
Rusty Nail Comedy has its Old School PRO AM night at TWH Social starting at 7:30 pm.
Thursday, March 13
Head to St. Jacobs Market for a special March Break event with local first responders and their emergency vehicles for a hands-on, interactive experience that kids won’t want to miss.
The Region of Waterloo Library has a free skate and crafts at the North Dumfries Community Centre from 10 to 12 pm.
Chris Botti plays Centre in the Square starting at 8 pm.

Friday, March 14
Join the Township of Wilmot and the Region of Waterloo Library for a 90 minute program exploring Zambonis, ice sports, and ice resurfacers! This program will begin with stories and books, then participants will travel outside to see one of the Wilmot Recreation Complex's very own Zamboni and learn all about it! 10:30 to 12 pm.
KPL has a free screening of Harold and the Purple Crayon at 2 pm at the Central Branch.
The amazing Zabrina Douglas headlines Rusty Nail Comedy at TWH Social starting at 7:30 pm. Born and raised in Brampton, Zabrina Douglas is a comedian who draws from her experience as a nurse, a mother, and the daughter of Jamaican parents. If you can’t make Friday, Zabrina headlines the Saturday show, too.
Centre in the Square has Mini Pop Kids at 6 pm.
Ariel Posen comes to the Boathouse on Friday at 8 pm.

Saturday, March 15
Everyone is welcome to join the next free meeting of the Waterloo Historical Society at St Matthews Lutheran church (54 Benton Street in Kitchener) for its first get together of the year. They’re welcoming author and journalist John Roe, who will speak about his recent book, The Marsland Engineering Story, that captures the beginning, the decades of technological innovations, and the 1980s pivot from that business into real estate. 1:15 pm.
The Region of Waterloo Library has partnered with Neighborhood Forest for its Earth Day celebrations, and part of that is providing free trees to children. Register by Saturday, March 15 to reserve your tree. Limit of one tree per child.
Sam Nabi, Sara Geidlinger, and Roshan James bring you The Soundcheck Experiment, a one-of-a-kind concert happening at The Union KW. Eight local musicians who have never played together will spend the whole day jamming, writing songs, and remixing each others’ music. That evening, they’ll put on a concert at the Union! Nobody, including the musicians or the audience, will know what the concert will be until it happens. Sliding scale tickets available!

Wave Maker Craft Brewery hosts Cool Aunt Creative’s Fused Glass Workshop at 1 pm.
Anat is at her regular Duke performance 2-5, but this week is St. Patrick's Sunday! They’ll have a fun sing-a-long Irish music show from Anat and friends, plus Guinness is on special. You could also win an outdoor wood stove. Come for shenanigans!

From March 8 to 16, head to Conestoga Mall to see the incredible structures built from over 35,000 unopened food cans at Canstruction—all of which will be donated to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region!
