Jane's Walks Waterloo Region returns on May 3, 4, and 5. Jane's Walks started in 2006, the year after Jane Jacobs died, as a way to honour her life and activate her ideas. Although she had no formal training as a planner, Jacobs changed the approach to city planning through her book, The Death and Life of Great American Cities. Crow Shield Lodge’s Feed the Fire Fundraiser is happening on May 3 at 7 P.M. at the Willow River Park Pavilion. It’s an evening of music, food and community featuring a silent auction with items from local artists and businesses. It is PWYC and all proceeds go to supporting Crow Shield Lodge programming and operations.

Join Runners' Choice Waterloo for the Wings for Life World Run, a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car.
Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App and join all the other people running at exactly 7 A.M. on Sunday, May 5. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.
