Eight startups enter, one startup leaves. Wait, no. It’s not Thunderdome. It’s the Velocity $5K Finals at Theatre of the Arts at noon. The final eight student-led teams will be pitching to a panel of judges in hopes of winning their share of $20,000 for their ambitious idea!
Stamp, paint, print, glue, and create at Kitchener Public Library’s Messy Summer Art Fun for kids ages 4-8. Join them for 30-45 minutes of creative art fun, each week create a masterpiece with different materials. Wear clothes that can get messy for each week’s art adventure.

The Princess Cinema has the 11th edition of the Trails In Motion Film Tour - the world's community driven trail and ultra running film showcase. This year the film tour is featuring five awe-inspiring films from filmmakers Timothée Ranger & Etienne Valentin, Ryan Scura & Adam Wells, Dean Leslie & Joe Grant, Beau Miles and Justin Galant. The Sun Life Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival is celebrating its 30th year of bringing some of the world’s best jazz musicians to Waterloo Region. This year’s festival includes musicians Alex Cuba, Jesse Cook, Ted’s Warren Commission, and the Barbara Lica Quintet.

Kitchener Public Library has a a free Summer Family Movie screening of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania at 2 p.m.
Kitchener Public Library in collaboration with Spectrum Region of Waterloo Community Space is happy to host Youth Under the Rainbow from 2 to 3 p.m. Rainbow families and friends with children aged 4-10 are invited to read stories, make crafts, and have fun playing together in a safe and supported environment for 2SLGBTQ+ youth, families, and allies.
