KPL, in partnership with Willow River Centre present a screening of Wildhood, a film about a Two-Spirit teenager who leaves home to find his birth mother, and reclaim his Mi’kmaw heritage. 6 pm at the Central branch.
Join Waterloo Public Library for a discussion with author Leah Reesor-Keller about what led her to write about faith, leadership and a culture shift in the context of climate change. In Tending Tomorrow, Leah shares her own journey of meaning-making amid environmental and social upheaval with the hope that readers will use it to make sense of their own experiences, values and beliefs.

The rescheduled Waterloo Historical Society History Under the Trees is this Thursday, September 19 at the Ayr Curling Club, 210 Northumberland St, Ayr. This special meeting held jointly with the North Dumfries Historical Preservation Society (NDHPS) has two speakers, Rachel Redshaw will present her long awaited "Wh'Ayr it all Began" talk and Ken Seiling will be speaking about "Museums in the Community".
Bahamas plays the Gaslight District with Tim Baker, and Josiah and the Bonnevilles at 5 pm at Fest2Fall. The festival is brought to you by Farm League Brewing and features The Beaches, Kitchener’s own JJ Wilde, and Bahamas over two nights at The Gaslight District in Cambridge. You can get passes for each night or get a two-day pass to experience the whole festival.

THEMUSEUM and Black And Free’s series, Black And Free: New Art, returns on September 22. The series explores the multifaceted experiences of Blackness and freedom through historical and contemporary lenses. This event’s artists include Alyssa Vernon, Samantha Dennis, and Andre Mandela.
The Grand River Opera has its Make Our Garden GRO Gala Concert & Silent Auction at The Registry Theatre. All proceeds from this fundraiser will support our November opera, Hansel & Gretel.

Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region's Walk-or-Wheel Kickoff Event is happening at Kingsdale Community Centre on September 21, 2024 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. Registration opens at 2:30.
Bring your family and friends for an afternoon of fun and belonging. All are welcome and registration is free or by donation. Activities include:an accessible Walk-or-Wheel loop, family friendly activities, and the chance to learn more about EAFWR - our programs and services, volunteering, joining the team and how we build a Waterloo Region where everyone belongs.
