How do we restore and build trust in science and technology? Hear from Nobel Laureate Donna Strickland and a panel including Canada Research Chair Ashley Mehlenbacher, and University of Waterloo's Dean of Engineering Mary Wells. This free community lecture is presented in partnership with CBC Kitchener Waterloo and will be moderated by Craig Norris. Limited in-person seats and livestream tickets are still available.
Kitchener Public Library presents 85 Queen: An Evening with Emma Donoghue, moderated by Janet Somerville, author and book reviewer for the Toronto Star. Learned by Heart is a heartbreakingly gorgeous novel based on the true story of two girls who fall secretly, deeply and dangerously in love at boarding school in nineteenth century York, from the bestselling author of Room and The Wonder.

For the first time since 2019, Doors Open Waterloo Region returns for in-person tours of 20 unique sites. This year, you can see inside the Detweiler Meetinghouse and Roseville Cemetery in Ayr, the Idea Exchange (Old Post Office) in Cambridge, the Waterloo Central Railway Restoration and Maintenance Facility, and more.
