Investing in Menstrual Health Makes Good Business Sense. Period is a free virtual event from Share The Platform about creating a period positive workplace. Menstrual health experts will provide insights from the latest research and data, sharing best practices that can promote supportive menstrual health environments in the workplace. Tuesday, May 9 at 7 p.m.
The Grand River Film Festival returns for its first fully in-person festival this May 9 – 13. The festival features nine films and 39 short films screening across Waterloo Region at the Princess Twin in Uptown Waterloo, the Kitchener Public Library Theatre in Downtown Kitchener, and the Cambridge Community Players Theatre in Cambridge.

The Young@rt Youth Art Exhibit is being offered in-person and virtual again this year! Young@rt is premiering at 7pm on May 11 at 44 Gaukel St. and will also be released virtually on Artshine’s YouTube Channel the next day. Young@rt is a celebration of talented young artists in Kitchener that showcases their work in visual arts.

Kitchener Public Library has an Asian Heritage Month film screening of Minari at 6:30 p.m. It’s a tender and sweeping story about what roots people that follows a Korean-American family that moves to a tiny Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream.

The Apollo’s High Tea Cinema presents Sense and Sensibility at 1 p.m. Each ticket includes a cup of tea and a scone!

Get registered (it’s free!) , set your distance and your fundraising goal, and soar as a superhero for kids having fun and supporting KidsAbility.
At the end of week, join other participants to celebrate your fundraising superpowers at Superhero Day – a fun fair of food, games and families on Saturday June 17 at KidsAbility Waterloo location.
Donations support the most immediate therapy needs of kids, youth, and their
families throughout Waterloo Region and Guelph-Wellington.
