The Keep Your Head Up Foundation is offering education sessions to increase youth awareness about the effects of traumatic brain injury including concussion. Join them on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. to go beyond the signs and symptoms of a concussion and allow youth to consider the common challenges they may be faced with post-concussion.

The Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony presents The Art of Video Game Music at 8 p.m. Swedish video game music concert producer Orvar Säfström make his Canadian debut with the KWS in a video game music event that focuses on the exceptional quality of the music and the orchestra. Featuring the music of The Legend of Zelda, Halo, Final Fantasy and more! Waterloo Region Community Foundation is hosting Do More Good Dialogues around our community. These dialogues bring people together to discuss topics that are important to our community, and highlight the work WRCF is doing to impact these areas. Their team will be on-site at libraries around Waterloo Region to chat and answer any questions you have about your community foundation, and to get your input on issues of importance in your neighbourhood, city and/or township. Hundreds of refugees in the Waterloo Region are waiting for homes. Local landlords, property managers, and individuals with in-house flats, apartments, and homes for rent are invited to a Rent 2 Refugees Information Session. Choose from Tuesday, Nov. 15, 7-7:30 p.m. or Thursday, Nov. 17, 12-12:30 p.m. on Zoom. In this 30-minute session hosted by Reception House Waterloo Region, hear from landlords who rent to refugees, a newcomer tenant, and refugees who need housing. Also, learn how Reception House supports landlords and tenants to have positive working relationships. You can make a difference by welcoming refugees.
