Stroll Walking Tour’s Black Presence in Berlin launches today at 11 a.m. The tour amplifies the Black history that has been forgotten and erased from the well-known Mennonite, German, European and white history of Waterloo Region. This walk is researched and led by Peggy Plet, a researcher and writer on Black history. Plet has spent over 25 years researching the Dutch-Surinamese experience. She immigrated to Kitchener from Surinam in 2007 and published a biography on Surinamese-American inventor Jan E. Matzeliger in 2016. This is the first walking tour of four this month.

IdeaExchange presents SHOW.21, featuring work by Olivia Brouwer, Lupita Guerrero, Anahí González, Anne Hamilton, Brubey Hu, Abby Nowakowski, Jackie Partridge, Lauren Prousky, Brenda Mabel Reid, Racquel Rowe, and Ahmri Vandeborne. SHOW.21 presents the work of eleven artists with connections to Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.
